Volunteering Opportunities
Between Elections: Party members are welcome to volunteer with the ongoing work of the EDA in two primary areas:
1. Fundraising
2. Election Readiness
EDA Board of Directors: ongoing work for the EDA is organized and managed by the Board through its Executive Committee (president, vice-pres., treasurer, secretary) through reports to the Board at regular meetings. Board members are expected to contribute their time and effort toward a specific portfolio such as membership, policy, signage, social media, rural outreach, and more. Successful Board members achieve common goals and bring a spirit of collaboration through their ongoing commitment to volunteering regularly.
Annual General Meetings: paid-up members of the Conservative Party residing in KTC register to attend AGMs which allows the EDA to conduct the business operations of the EDA. The slate of Board members is chosen yearly at the AGM.
During Elections: volunteers are an essential part of each campaign and are involved with signage, door knocking, phoning supporters, and much more. Once a campaign begins, a Volunteer Co-ordinator will reach out to Party members to call for volunteers.
